Justin

I'm enjoying reading your posts, keep up the good work!

I am curious how you look at the ways (behaviors online, types of tools, types of posts, style, etc, etc) in which people now build trust using social media-- especially those who have not or will not meet face to face. There are many theories, and I utilize some myself as my firm is focused on knowledge transfer of deeply held expertise for organizations or companies in transition. I would be very interested, based on your experience, to hear how you think people build trust online and via social media. Thank you.

Justin,

Congratulations on having this post selected for the July Carnival of Trust, hosted this month by Adrian Dayton at http://adriandayton.com/2009/07/carnivaloftrust/ .

The Carnival of Trust is a monthly compendium of the best posts loosely related to the subject of trust. Hosted on a rotating basis by thoughtful and critical hosts like Adrian, the limited (10 or so) selections each month are intended to bring good ideas to the Carnival’s readers, and respect (and readership) to the blogs selected. (A history of past Carnivals can be seen at http://trustedadvisor.com/trustmatters.carnivalofTrust ).

Again, congratulations on your selection for the July Carnival of Trust.

Sincerely,
Charles H. Green

Hey Justin;

I am with you 100%. And now people can smell a rat a lot better than they could a year ago.

Maintaining your good name is almost more necessary now that bad news can travel so fast and so far.

When it sounds too good to be true, it's time to check your trust meter.
